Senior Electrical Engineer

Senior Electrical Engineer for the company’s growing electronic sensor line. Sensors include pressure, temperature, flow and level sensing applications for CCS’ airborne and industrial product divisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform sensor design, development and implementation efforts per program plans
  • Review customer specifications and develop proposals for new electronic sensor applications
  • Design, develop and test new electronic sensor products
  • Hands-on prototyping and test to verify the operational performance of designs
  • Document all electronic design activities
  • Prepare ATPs, QTPs, QTRs, reliability, maintainability and other documents as needed
  • Participate in customer design reviews
  • Conduct hardware integration and verification efforts per plan
  • Interface with external hardware/software resources
  • Interface with production to ensure delivered products meet requirements and are testable during production
  • Create new processes and design practices to satisfy industry standards for electrical hardware design and implementation
  • Collaborate with peers and managers to improve efficiency and reduce component costs in development and production
  • Perform trouble shooting as necessary on returned sensor products
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 8 years of hands on electronic product design experience
  • Strong knowledge of electronic pressure, temperature or flow sensors using MEMS or RTD sensing elements
  • Knowledge of analog and digital design with the ability to model and simulate
  • Understanding of communication protocols for aerospace applications
  • Familiarity with electronic product design and circuit protection to RTCA-DO 160 standards strongly preferred
  • Proficient in Solid Works or equivalent 3D design software and CADENCE/ALLEGRO or other electronics design software         
  • Proficient in the use of business software – Excel, Word, Project and Power Point
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing and presenting product and service information to engineers, customers and operators
  • US passport and occasional domestic and international travel
  • Proficiency in a foreign language is a plus

Quality Control Precision Mechanical Inspector

Under general supervision, the Quality Control Precision Mechanical Inspector performs inspection of machined parts to determine conformance to specifications   

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Effectively work from written travelers, blueprints, production schematics, quality reports, and procedures.
  • Perform both First Article and Final Inspection as required.
  • May receive raw materials.
  • Effectively operate measuring equipment.
  • Perform complex layout inspection characteristics.
  • Issue measuring tools and gages as needed.
  • May provide technical guidance and assistance to lesser skilled departmental personnel.
  • Responsible for advising status of work and any difficulties with those concerned.
  • Keep quality up to acceptable standards with little discrepant work.
  • Perform tasks equal to or exceeding established standards.
  • Maintain production quotas.
  • Work overtime as required.
  • Ability to react to changes and perform other essential tasks as required.

 

The ideal candidate will possess a High School Diploma or equivalent GED. Additional five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in a similar aerospace industry or some technical training is essential. Must be knowledgeable of aerospace quality standards.

Industrial Sales Engineer

Sales Engineer for the company's Industrial Control Products that are marketed in Asia through regional distributors.  Position reports to the Director of Sales and Marketing.  Position involves some travel.

Be the liaison between customer and Engineering Department on most technical matters, provide technical support for customer inquiries and purchase orders, review requests for special or non-catalogue items that require engineering work and initiate appropriate internal activities, prepare technical input and cost estimates for non-standard quotations, review customer feedback regarding product quality and initiate effective corrective actions, interface with Engineering Department and management to evaluate new requirements and solve technical problems, research and solve technical problems for internal and external customers, interface with inside Customer Service Representatives to coordinate verbal and written communication with customer as necessary, develop a detailed understanding of company's products, capabilities and applications, effectively utilize company's MRP and IT systems for accessing product and planning information, visit customers and distributors of company's products, assist in product training with customers, and distributors, participate in trade shows, assist in development and support of company marketing materials and Web Site, assist with new or updated product certifications.

Possess a BS Degree (BSME, BSEE or BSIE), four (4) years engineering experience in design or manufacturing, two (2) years sales related experience, knowledge of electro-mechanical products or sensors, strong organization and customer service skills, excellent communication skills, including writing and presenting product and service information to Engineers, customers and operators, proficient in the use of business software-Excel, Word, and Power Point.

U.S. Passport and occasional domestic and international travel.  Proficiency in a foreign language is desirable.
