Industrial Project Engineer

Job Description:

The CCS Industrial Project Engineer provides engineering and project management support for CCS’ industrial instrumentation sensor products used on global oil and gas and other industrial equipment systems. Functions include design, project management, data base entries and regulatory compliance.

Duties &Responsibilities:

  • 2D and 3D-Design of electro-mechanical switches, sensors and accessories
  • Review customer technical specifications and develop proposals to meet their requirements
  • Hands-on prototyping and testing to verify the operational performance of designs
  • Document all design activities
  • Prepare BOM’s, ATPs, QTPs, QTRs, reliability, maintainability and other documents as needed
  • Participate in customer design reviews
  • Lead cross-functional design and development teams
  • Manage hardware integration and verification efforts per plan
  • Interface with production to ensure delivered products meet requirements and are testable during production
  • Apply for product certifications in new global markets as necessary
  • Create new processes and design practices to satisfy industry standards for electrical hardware design and implementation
  • Collaborate with peers and managers to improve efficiency and reduce component costs in development and production
  • Perform trouble shooting as necessary on returned products

Minimum Education & Experience:

  • BSME or equivalent technical degree
  • Four (4) years experience in design engineering of electro-mechanical products

Requirements:

  • Proficient knowledge of Auto Cad, Solid Works or Pro E
  • Proficient knowledge of ANSI Y14.5M Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
  • Working knowledge of basic analytical engineering tools such as Stress Analysis, FMEA and Design of Experiments
  • Experience with other software including: MatLab, MS Project, Excel and Word
  • Experience in designing switches, sensors, valves or actuators is a plus
  • Mechanical skills using small hand tools
  • Experience in project management
